Reporting content, users or servers

How to report Community Guidelines violations: what to include, special cases and what happens after a report.

If you come across a message, user or server on TEBHOS that violates the Community Guidelines, you can report it to us. Every report is reviewed by a person; reports are confidential and your username is not shared with the person reported.

Tell the server’s moderators first

If the problem is inside a server, the fastest fix is usually that server’s moderators: they can delete the message, time out or ban the member. If the server’s staff do not respond, or the violation is serious, report it to us directly.

How to report to us

From the email address registered to your account, email [email protected] with “Report” in the subject line. Include:

  • What happened: which rule you believe was broken (harassment, hate speech, spam, scams, illegal content, child safety and so on)
  • Where: the message link (right-click the message and choose Copy link), the channel and server name, or the username of the user you are reporting
  • When: date and time (to the minute — we can find that moment in the logs)
  • Evidence: a screenshot or a short recording. Include only what is needed and crop out unrelated people’s details; see the privacy note in the bug-reporting guide.

A report unrelated to your own account can also be sent from another address.

Special cases

  • Copyright and intellectual property: a separate process applies; see Copyright complaints.
  • Underage user: see Minimum age requirements.
  • An attack on your account or a security vulnerability: the Security page.
  • Immediate danger: if someone’s life or safety is at risk, call your local emergency line first (112 in Türkiye), then report to us.

What happens after a report?

We review the report, remove the content if needed and apply an action ranging from a warning to account termination depending on the severity. Within privacy and safety limits we may tell you the outcome. Knowingly sending false or duplicate reports violates the rules.

To protect yourself, you can block the member and restrict your DMs to friends only: Safety tips.
