TEBHOS

Roadmap

What is on our desk: what is on the way, what is in research, what goes on every week.

We are not promising dates — a small team's most valuable capital is trust, and we don't want to spend it by writing down dates we can't keep. But we can say plainly what we are working on.

On the way

Planned work whose groundwork has started. The order is the priority order.

Planned

Mobile apps (iOS and Android)

TEBHOS works in the phone browser today and can be added to the home screen; a real mobile app will bring reliable notifications and voice calls that continue in the background. Device registrations and the push-notification infrastructure are being prepared.

Planned

macOS and Linux desktop

Our desktop app is currently Windows-only; macOS and Linux users can use TEBHOS fully from the browser. The Windows app's self-updating infrastructure was built so it can carry over to the other platforms.

Planned

In-app data export

You can request a copy of your data by email today; the technical groundwork is ready. The next step is generating the export yourself, in a few clicks, from inside the app.

In research

Work where doing it right matters more than doing it fast.

Researching

End-to-end encryption

TEBHOS is not end-to-end encrypted today; we say so plainly in our Privacy Policy. The foundations of key exchange and session encryption are in the connection layer; end-to-end encryption for voice calls is being researched. Encryption done wrong is more dangerous than none at all — we are not rushing.

Ongoing

Work that produces no announcement post but makes the app a little better every month.

Ongoing

Growing the voice side

Our audio backbone is in Frankfurt, with low latency from Türkiye. The infrastructure was designed so new regions can be added where demand concentrates; audio-quality work such as noise suppression continues.

Ongoing

Performance and scale

Migrations preparing the database layer for growth, and speed improvements.

Ongoing

Security

Fixes arriving through security reports and regular hardening work.

Ongoing

Moderation tools

Maturing the tools for server owners and moderators.

This list is not carved in stone; it is shaped by your feedback. The full write-up is in our roadmap post. If a feature matters to you, write to us — on TEBHOS you'll see your feedback actually reaches someone who reads it.
